More than 2000 serious injuries to people falling from vehicles are reported to HSE each year. Many of these injuries are broken arms or legs, resulting in weeks off work and possible loss of earnings. There are probably many more injuries that are not reported.
Anyone loading and unloading cargo from a trailer or lorry is working at height and is at risk of falling and work methods and equipment should be used to mitigate the risk.

TrailerSafe Compact has been designed to prevent falls from height by providing a mobile overhead anchor point onto which any operative required to access a trailer can connect using a safety harness and retractable fall arrestor.
This system is often used for unloading Structural steel and Precast concrete floor slabs offering mobility to the unloader for slinging loads whilst protected by the retractable lifeline.
TrailerSafe Compact units are portable and can be moved around site by fork truck or crane if there isn’t a dedicated loading / unloading area.
Consisting of three main components, Adjustable Base, Davitt Support and Fall Arrest Davitt. An accessory pack is supplied including a lifting sling and rope to protect the lifeline in the Fall arrest block when not in use.
An Ikar 6 metre Fall arrestor is supplied with connector.
Trailersafe Compact units are usually used in pairs and when spaced 6 metres apart will provide overhead anchorage coverage for an articulated truck trailer 13.6 metres in length.
