A Safety Harness is the foundation of all Fall Protection Systems and is an essential part of your safety kit and personal fall arrest system.

A Safety Harness of Full Body Harness is designed to protect a person from injury if involved in an accident when working at height by absorbing impact forces that occur during a fall and holding the person in suspension.
It is essential that a Safety Harness is correctly sized and fitted to the wearer and that compatible connecting devices between Harness and Anchorage Point’s are used.

Safety Harness Types

The Safety Harness that is most commonly used for Work Restraint and Fall Arrest on construction projects will be made from tough but comfortable webbing with a minimum of front and rear attachment points for Lanyards or Fall Arrestors.
A harness designed for Rope access suspension or Work positioning will be made with pads around shoulder, waist and leg points which provide additional support making them more comfortable to wear. These pads  distribute the weight of the wearer evenly which is important when wearing a Safety Harness for long periods.
You should also consider consider a Safety Harness with Fast-Fit connectors which speed up the time it takes to don and remove a Safety Harness.
Select harnesses that are made from high-strength, durable polyester webbing and high-tensile steel alloy fittings.
