TEMPORARY HORIZONTAL LIFELINE

Temporary horizontal lifeline, also known as Running-Lines are a portable anchorage device that forms an integral part of a temporary work restraint system for working at height fall protection.
Temporary Horizontal Lifeline’s are made in 20 and 10 metre lengths from high quality polyester webbing with a ratchet tensioner that adjusts and tensions the lifeline.
A Temporary Work Restraint System, commonly called a Running-Line is used to protect those working on open edge of structures when temporary edge protection is not in place.
It protects those using it by restricting their movement within a safe working zone, preventing them from reaching the fall hazard.
Work Restraint is placed in the work at height hierarchy as the preferred method for fall prevention when collective measures are not in place. A common example of this is when unitised façade systems are installed onto the side of structures where a Temporary edge protection system prevents access for installers to the edge of the floors for fixing brackets and panels so a Temporary Work Restraint System – often called Running-lines will be installed inside the structure, running parallel to the edge of the slab offering an unobstructed restraint for several installers simultaneously.

A Running-Line or Work Restraint System consists of

Anchors  –  Cast-in concrete / Post-Drilled concrete / Anchor slings / Deadweight -freestanding / Portable clamp devices.

Connecting devices – Adjustable work positioning lanyards

Safety Harnesses

Weatherproof bags
