ANCHOR DEVICES AND COMPONENTS FOR PERSONAL FALL PROTECTION
Anchor points are a vital part of a fall protection system. they are the critical component that connect Lifelines, Lanyards ,Fall Arrestors and Rescue Kits to the permanent structure.
Principally there are three methods of Anchorage
Cast-In Anchor’s
Post-Drilled Anchors
Deadweight Anchors
Adjustable Clamp Anchors
ANCHOR SLINGS AND KARABINERS
Anchorage sling’s are used in fall protection when part of a structure such as a column or wall are positioned where they can support a Running-Line in a Work Restraint System.Anchorage slings are also useful for connecting fall arrestors commonly wrapped around columns or reinforcement starter bars then connected to temporary horizontal lifelines using karabiners with a minimum load capacity of 35kN.Webbing Anchorage Slings are made from heavy-duty polyester webbing protected by a wear strip to reduce additional wear from repeated use.Steel Anchorage Slings are more durable than their webbing equivalent, manufactured from 6mm galvanised steel wire with a protective rubber sleeve and protection thimbles at each end for added protection where karabiners are connected to them.
SafetyRespect anchor slings are manufactured in the UK compliant to :
EN354:2010, EN795:2012 Type B – when used for a one person load & PD CEN/TS 16415:2013 Type B when used in rescue for a two person load.
