Safety Catchfan’s also known as Catch Fans are unitised safety nets attached to lightweight frames, usually 6 metres in length that cantilever from elevations of structures under construction, renovation or demolition.
Their primary function is to arrest the fall of objects or debris when falling from the structure protecting anyone in the immediate area below them.
Catch fans feature a double-layer of protection consisting of a safety net with a fine mesh overlay to trap smaller materials or objects. The Frame is designed to withstand and arrest the impact of a object with maximum weight of 100kg.dropped from a height by absorbing its falling energy into the netting.
They are available in 6m and 4m lengths which can be attached to the top, side or underside of slabs, steel sections or scaffolding structures. For easier lifting and installation the frames fold.
