CONNECTING TO TOOLS
If the small hand tool being tethered hasn’t been made with an anchor connection point on it, a Dee- Ring can be taped to the body of the tool where it won’t affect its functionality using self-amalgamating tape .
WRIST STRAP
The Wrist Strap provides an anchor point for tools or objects with a maximum weight of 3kg.
It is made from tough polyester webbing and locks onto the wearers wrist by overlapping a velcro band.
The Dee ring offers connection to a Tool lanyard karabiner or choke cord.

Measure and cut a length of Tape allowing for eight wraps around the tool.
Peel back a short length of the tapes protective backing film keeping it clean and dry.
Make one complete wrap of the tool overlapping the tape onto itself.
Place a Dee-Ring onto the Tool then wrap the tape through it and around the Tool, stretching the Tape tightly for another seven wraps.
When at the end of the Tape, press it firmly onto itself to secure it.
Pull lightly on the Dee-Ring to ensure that it is secure- do not remove the Tape once secure.
A curing period of 24 hours is recommended to ensure a secure bond.
Match the weight rating: Always confirm your tool’s weight is within the Tool Lanyard’s `load-rating. Overloading is a primary cause of failure.
Inspect regularly: Before every use, check the Tool Lanyard’s webbing, stitching, and connectors for any cuts, tears, corrosion, or damage.
Check the connection: Use a Tool Lanyard with a locking carabiner or a barrel lock to ensure a secure connection that won’t accidentally disengage.
Connect to a reliable anchor: Attach the Tool Lanyard to a solid anchor point on your person (such as a work belt or harness loop-max. 3kg) or a fixed structure.
