A properly tethered tool or object protects those working around and below you if it is accidentally dropped.
A Tool Lanyard acts as a connecting device between the tool or object and the anchor point which allows their use whilst maintaining an attachment that will arrest their fall if they are accidentally dropped when in use.

PRODUCT INFORMATION
The RGTL10-10 Tool lanyard is used for tethering tools in the weight range of 5 to 10kg.
It is made from Kinetic Polyester Webbing which has an inner strand. This will stretch and a red indicator stitch will pop if the attached tool or object is dropped. There is an outer webbing sleeve that protects the inner strand which is made from high contrast webbing to make visual inspections easier.
This tool Lanyard has the following connections
130mm Choke loop which can choke wrap around some tool handles, or around a guardrail for anchoring.
A large double action karabiner with an 18mm gate opening offers connection to suitable Anchor points capable of withstanding heavier loads eg. guardrails.
If the small hand tool being tethered hasn’t been made with an anchor connection point on it, a D Ring can be taped to the body of the tool where it won’t affect its functionality using self-amalgamating tape .
This Tool Lanyard is designed for tethering Powertools or Hand Tools with anchor loops or closed handles with a weight maximum of 10kg.
It chokes around the connection point by wrapping the loop end around it and threading the connector end through it.
ANCHOR POINTS
A Tool or Object weighing over 5kg. should not be connected to the person using it due to the load it will impose on the body if dropped,
A substantial anchor point should be found such as a Guardrail or Column in the permanent structure.
FREEFALL DISTANCE
If the tool or object connected to this Tool Lanyard is dropped it will be allowed to free fall 1250mm so the user needs to ensure that there is no one working inside the fall distance.
This Kinetic Tool Lanyard has a fixed length of 1250mm.
