A Tool Lanyard acts as a connecting device between the tool or object and the anchor point which allows their use whilst maintaining an attachment that will arrest their fall if they are accidentally dropped when in use.

COMPONENT DETAILS
The RGTL6-5 Elasticated Tool Lanyard is designed for is securing medium-duty hand tools weighing up to 3 kg safely to a wrist strap, worker’s belt or safety harness while working at height.
It is made from high contrast elasticated polyester webbing with a 130mm choke loop at one end and a 10mm swivel double action karabiner at the other.
This tool lanyard is suitable to use with tools that have a captive handle/eye or to choke around.
This Tool Lanyard is made from 15mm Elasticated Polyester.
It’s length is 840mm when not under stress , stretching to 1250mm when fully extended.
Load capacity is 3kg.
It has a Twistlock , rotating connector at one end and a Choke Loop at the other
CONNECTING TOOLS USING THE CHOKE LOOP
This Tool Lanyard is designed for small Powertools or hand tools with anchor loops or closed handles.
It chokes around the connection point by wrapping the loop end around it and threading the connector end through it.
The other end can be connected to a suitable anchor point such as a Safety Harness or Workbelt.
CONNECTING TO A WRIST STRAP, WORKBELT OR HARNESS
The Wrist Strap provides an anchor point for tools or objects with a maximum weight of 3kg.
It is made from tough polyester webbing and locks onto the wearers wrist by overlapping a velcro band.
The Dee ring offers connection to a Tool lanyard karabiner or choke cord.
This Tool Lanyard can also be connected to the Connection Point of a Safety Harness
FREEFALL DISTANCE
If the tool or object connected to this Tool Lanyard is dropped it will be allowed to free fall 1250mm so the user needs to ensure that there is no one working inside the fall distance.When unstretched this Tool Lanyard is 840mm long.
