A properly tethered tool or object protects those working around and below you if it is accidentally dropped.
A Tool Lanyard acts as a connecting device between the tool or object and the anchor point which allows their use whilst maintaining an attachment that will arrest their fall if they are accidentally dropped when in use.

COMPONENT DETAILS
This kit includes two RGTL8-elasticated bungie lanyards that stretch to reduce the impact of a falling tool on the wearers wrist or body.
A Choke cord wraps around the Trowels neck and a rotating / locking karabiner connects to the Wrist strap.
The Choke cord can also be tied through a suitable hole in the Spirit level or if it is solid, a Dee -Ring Connector can be affixed using the Self-Amalgamating tape.
The Wrist Strap is made from tough polyester webbing that wraps and secures around the users wrist with a velcro overlap. It has a Dee-Ring for connecting to the Tool Lanyard.

TETHERING CONNECTIONS
The Nylon cord can be choked around the Trowels neck and tightened making a secure and flexible connection
The Nylon cord can be threaded through a hole in the body of the Spirit level if it is made with them.
If the Tool doesn’t have a suitable anchor point or feature a Dee-Ring Connector can be attached to it using Self-Amalgamating Tape.
The Wrist Strap provides an anchor point for tools or objects with a maximum weight of 3kg.
It is made from tough polyester webbing and locks onto the wearers wrist by overlapping a velcro band.
The Dee ring offers connection to a Tool lanyard karabiner or choke cord.
FREEFALL DISTANCE
If the Trowel or Level is accidentally dropped into empty space when connected to this Tool Lanyard it will free fall 1250mm.
It is essential that no one is working within the fall distance.
